BBC
The BBC asked us to provide 3D models and animations for flagship TV programme "Meet The Ancestors."
Skeletons of men brutally killed are discovered by chance as a pipeline is dug at Tormarton in Somerset. A bronze spear is embedded in the spine of a fallen warrior. This jumbled mass of skeletons piled in a deep ditch are all that’s left from a violent conflict that took place three thousand years ago; one of the first pitched battles of Britain. Julian Richards hunts down the story of what these bones can tell us about life and death in the Bronze Age.
We created the landscape of Tormarton and its surrounding area from Ordnance Survey data, showing the removal of forest and the hillforts built on the scarp.
"This is to officially let you know that the series is going to be broadcast on BBC2. I've laid all your virtual reconstructions into the finished films and they look great. Thank you so much for all your efforts. I am really pleased with how your work looks and as you know they've received a lot of good comments from all quarters. I've really enjoyed collaborating with you on this project and I do hope we have the chance to work together again in the future.
All the very best
