Archaeology
For many archaeology projects, 3D landscape reconstruction is the starting point. Usually we us Ordnance Survey height data, but can also make height data directly from maps.
The landscape reconstruction gives viewers the environment in which to view and understand the artefacts or settlements. It allows a prespective which one might not get from a map, showing realtionships between topographical features, as well as the way the flora and fauna affects the environment.
